About this unsulphured dried apricot
The same apricot as elsewhere in our range, but dried without sulphur — no sulphur dioxide used at any stage. Without it, the fruit darkens as it dries instead of staying bright orange: a deep chocolate-brown, sticky and dense, with a sweetness that's noticeably more concentrated than the sulphured version. No sugar added; the sweetness is entirely the fruit's own.
It eats closer to a chewy, fruit-forward sweet than a typical dried apricot — the kind of thing you reach for instead of a chocolate bar. Good on its own, or paired with nuts, yoghurt or fresh cheese.
Some buyers actively prefer this darker colour as a mark that no sulphur was used at all, rather than a flaw — worth knowing if you're new to unsulphured fruit and expect the bright orange of the standard version.
