About this dried prune, halved
The same plum as our whole dried prune, but taken through a different process: halved and pitted before drying rather than left whole, using sulphur dioxide as a preservative to protect the colour during drying — unlike the whole prune elsewhere in the range, which is sulphur-free. No added sugar or colouring beyond that. The result looks distinct from the whole prune — a blue-grey skin rather than glossy black, opening onto a soft, amber-gold flesh — with a milder, less concentrated sweetness than the whole fruit.
Contains sulphites. Eat it on its own, or use it anywhere a prune goes: porridge, baking, salads, or braised into a meat dish.
