Straight answers about sourcing, minimum order quantities, certifications and what makes Armenian dried fruit worth stocking.
Armenia's high-altitude climate, abundant sunshine and mineral-rich volcanic soil give the fruit itself a naturally richer flavour and sugar content before it's ever dried, so less has to be added or concentrated artificially afterward. Most of our orchards are still family-owned and worked using traditional methods passed down over generations, prioritising fruit quality over yield. No sugar is added to any product in our range. Most varieties are preserved with sulphur dioxide (E220) to protect their colour during drying — our unsulphured apricot, our black (whole) prune and our persimmon are dried without it — and every product's own page states plainly whether it's used. The result is fruit that tastes closer to what it actually is.
Our standard minimum order is 50kg per product. If you're interested in private label packaging under your own brand, that starts from 500kg. Get in touch with your target volumes and we'll work out what's realistic.
It depends on the product and how it's stored. Removing most of the water is itself a natural preservation method — that's the whole reason drying works. Most of our range is additionally preserved with sulphur dioxide (E220), which helps protect the fruit from spoilage during storage as well as protecting its colour; a few products — our unsulphured apricot, our black (whole) prune and our persimmon — are dried without it and are best kept in a sealed container. Each product's own page states whether sulphur dioxide is used. For an exact best-before date on any given batch, ask us directly when you request pricing — we can confirm it along with the lab certificate for that lot.
We are not currently certified organic. What we can say plainly: no sugar is added to any product in our range, and every ingredient — including where sulphur dioxide (E220) is used as a preservative — is stated honestly on that product's own page. Our fruit comes from family-run orchards across Armenia using traditional growing methods rather than industrial-scale production. If certified-organic stock is a requirement for your market, tell us when you get in touch and we can talk through what's possible.
Sulphur dioxide (food additive E220) is a preservative, antioxidant and antimicrobial agent widely used in dried fruit production. It protects the fruit from spoilage, inhibits the growth of bacteria and mould, slows oxidation, and helps the fruit keep an appetising, bright colour through drying and storage — without it, most light-coloured fruit darkens considerably as it dries. Most varieties in our range use it for exactly this reason; our unsulphured apricot, our black (whole) prune and our persimmon are the exceptions, dried without it. Every product page states clearly whether sulphur dioxide is used, and products containing it are labelled accordingly per EU Regulation 1169/2011.
Directly from orchards and growers across Armenia — the Armavir and Ararat regions in particular — rather than buying in bulk through intermediaries. We travel the valleys and orchards ourselves and work with growers who hold to the same standard, selecting fruit rather than purchasing whatever volume happens to be available.
We're compliant with EU Regulation 1169/2011 (food information to consumers) and the FDA's Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) for exports to the United States. Lab certificates and product specification sheets are available on request for any variety.

We ship EXW Yerevan (Ex Works — you or your freight forwarder collects from our facility in Yerevan) or FOB Poti (Free On Board — we deliver to the port of Poti in Georgia, the nearest major sea port, for onward shipping). Which one makes sense depends on your own logistics setup, and we're happy to talk it through.
